2002 MB SLK32 AMG - LotusTalk

Here's a pic of my new play toy. It's powered by a 354 hp supercharged V6. I picked it up used from Ferrari of Denver. Low miles - 18,602 at delivery. It is quite apparent upon examination that its previous owners took very good care of it.

Length is about the same as my Elise; however, curb weight is approx. 1200 lbs heavier.

My father has one of those, they are quick, and with a pulley upgrade easily make ~50 more wHP.

Only thing I don't like is the rather slushy "tip-tronic" gear box.

Very nice!

I was checking out the pre-owned cars at FoD a few weeks back. They seem to be pricing things right and are moving some cars, which some dealers seem to think is a miracle these days. I kinda like that Vantage they have

Will that be your snow day "beater?"

Is that Vantage still there? I was looking at it when the Exige was in for service. I wonder how negotiable the price is on it. Hmmm...

I got quite a deal on the car, but would rather not divulge the final price. My daily beater is an 07 Corolla! I need something to haul kids and groceries.

Vantage is still there - what a car. Have you seen the KG Exige? It has something like 750 miles and they have it listed for $59K.

Haven't seen the KG, it's been about a month or so since I've been up there. You know Mike, of all the Lotus owners in town you're one of the only ones I haven't just bumped into around town. lol

Where you the silver Exige at Ferrari last October (17th)? I would have been the yellow Elise two cars ahead pulling out.

Yep, still there. Asking $73,900 for an '06 with 12k miles on it. And it looks like it's been very well cared for. Hmmmm...

So far I've only been to one LOCO drive, and don't check in there often as Yahoo groups is just horrible. lol

I live pretty near Thunder Ridge Highschool (I think that's the name of it) on Highlands Ranch Parkway.

Also, I came across an 05 silver Elise on northbound I25 today in the Springs. Here I thought since I opened my big mouth about not seeing you around town, there you were. But it was some lady, I mean unless you were in drag.

Not this time!

Last year's show was on June 8th. Haven't seen anything posted for this year's show. I'll definitely plan on going though.
