2010 Nissan Titan
So i'm minding my own business driving to lunch today and this big black beast pulls up next to me at a light. Being formerly of the auto biz, i'm no stranger to pre-production prototypes, so i'm trying to figure out what this Dodge Ram looking thing is.
Can't be a Ram, because they're already introduced it, but I swear it looks like one under all that covering. By the time I figured it out, i had already turned off the road, snapping off only two shots with my pocket camera. I should have gone back and taken some more ![]() Chrysler will be building the next Nissan Titan off the Ram platform (similar to the Dakota/Mitsu Raider and Caravan/VW Routan). The hard edges on the rear door are identical to the Ram, but the front doors have different sheetmetal on them. Appears that the Titan will also get the Ram's rear coil suspension. For those of you looking for a tow vehicle in a couple years ![]()

I own a 2006 Nissan Titan 4X4 off road and love it. Maasively fast and powerful. In 41K miles of mostly towing and it has never had a single problem save a dead battery. It towed my 5000+ lb race car rig from Washington DC to Seattle, happliy cruising through South Dakota and Montana with the cruise control on 85. Fantastic 650W Rockford Fosgate stereo was a factory option I originally didn't want, but now would not want to be without. and I got it in Feb 06 for $7K below asking price.
Gas mileage, of course, is horrible (10 when towing at 85 mph), 16 around town. But it may just be my favorite sports car ![]() Terry |

I'm not sure if this thread is serious or not, but if the former, I'm quite dissappointed. Nissan had a great thing going with the Titan - mine has been near flawless and has been quite dutiful in towing race cars. Agree on the crappy fuel economy, but then again, it is a truck...

Unless they are bright enough to come out with a full size pickup that gets 30 mpg, I will stick with my Tundra.
