What we do know about the 2014 Corvette so far is that it will be powered by a 6.2-liter small block LT1 V8 making roughly 450 hp and 450 lb-ft of torque, while manual-transmission models may receive a rev-match function.

And as dramatic a change as the interior is, look for equally major upgrades inside, with leaked details indicating a premium look and feel, with a digital dash with an info display to show track telematics like lap times, G forces, gear selection, and 0-60 times.

FWIW, the "official" release of the '14 Corvette is tomorrow (1/13/13), so you can get a real glimpse of what the actual car will look like at the time...

I am going to be very surprised if they actually follow through with the square tail lights. I can't believe they would apply the corporate image to one of America's longest running halo car.

This struck me immediatly upon seeing the pre-release pictures. I do not like it.

I'm with you. Why make the Vette look like the cheaper (and, to me, hideous) Camaro?

Not a fan of the Cadillac angular, edge-laden styling in the least.

Let us hope the actual new car looks different/better.

The Cadillac SLR is really growing on me over the years. I like the low slung angular look of them. It was before Cadillac started making 5 foot tall bloated cars.

The only thing that bothers me with the SLR was the lack of a manual transmission. Same with the Plymouth Prowler.

It's the XLR, not SLR...And I agree with you on the Prowler, though I am more disappointed that it didn't have a V8, more so than a manual transmission..

Hard to find those Prowlers. Was shopping for one and only found very few, and only in purple and then one black one that was a bit worn out. I really would love to have a yellow one.

Ugly, but less so that slab of a back on the C4, C5 and C6.
