..is how much damage a fat raccoon does to an '06 SAAB 9-3 at 70 mph or so in case anyone was wondering...add in a $250 tow.

oh, and the 9-3 convertibles have a cross brace that acts like a roadkill Ginsu, just to add some gore to a miserable night...yuck.

What kind of plane are you flying in your avatar? If you ever fly to Hobbs NM (doubt you will but ) I'm the guy that runs the FBO.

It is a Pa28-236 Dakota. One of my goals over the next few years is to fly to the West coast via the Southwest route, seeing as many airports on the way as we can...I will try to stop by Hobbs if I do.

I just got my Saab back about 2 weeks ago. I got rear ended by some high school student. The body shop was supposed to take like 2-3 days. It ended up taking over a week because they ordered the wrong trim pieces.... The total cost was $1500. I can't believe a raccoon could do $2000 more damage!

Radiator, a/c condenser, power steering cooler, front bumper, lip and lower grill, mounts and hoses for everything....to top it off, i picked the car up on a Friday afternoon and got approx 7 miles from the dealer and the coolant return hose popped off and dumped most of the coolant...hose was not clamped. "Hello AAA, it's me again...."

look at it this way...at least YOU didn't die.

I hate it when people bitch when they hit an animal. Maybe you should look farther ahead? Try the Evolution driving school, they will teach you that.

Looking further ahead won't really do much if it comes out of nowhere or decides to dart out at the last minute despite you having had it on your radar for some time. I can't tell you how many squirrels I've had tempt fate for absolutely no reason. Just sayin'.
