Can Am Spyder
I know alot of you have other interests besides your Lotus and many of us have Motorcycles. I for one , have a 1997 Harley FXD with some Ness customization.
I was snooping around a MC shop and came across a 3 wheeler--The Can Am Spyder. I would love to give it a try and maybe even part with my beloved Harley. Does anyone have a Can Am? How does it compare to a Motorcyle and I guess the biggest question---How does it compare to the Lotus? It looks like a great vehicle for the aging Gold Wing crowd and a safer vehicle to use in the winter at our home in Lake Arrowhead. LPM |

I work with a guy that owns one. I rode it once. I like the way it looks. The ride was a bit different (compared to bikes and sports cars) and really was not for me. It was somewhat like riding a sporty quad. I ride sport bikes, and it is not nearly as fun as a sport bike. That said, its safer than a sport bike since abrupt safety maneuvers are easier and gravel/oil/ice/etc. won't send you to the pavement. This would make it a good vehicle for winter home use.
Without question, if I am looking for maximum fun, I would pick driving my Lotus over riding the Can Am. Overall, the Can Am was fun, but not Lotus/Sport bike fun. The guy I work with loves it.
