It is admitted by all that he was much addicted to women, as well as very expensive in his intrigues with them, and that he debauched many ladies of the highest quality; among whom were Posthumia, the wife of Servius Sulpicius; and Lollia, the wife of Aulus Gabinius.

(probably dont drive that fast anywhere else for that matter.. )
measured aero drag and what it actually costs you in mpg are 2 different things.

I have measured considerable disparities in MPG even when removing the tops off my convertibles on the highway.

It won't make an enormous difference to the user, but that's not what MPG is about. It's about marketing unfortunately and meeting EPA standards.

I can easily distinguish a Z06 from a regular 'Vette from a distance. I just notice the wider stance and wider tires and it immediately tells me. But I understand most people wouldn't notice. I think the Z06 looks particularly bad-ass in a very subtle way. ZR-1 is just trying too hard

I bought a C6 Z06 in 12/05, which I just sold. It was a completely flawless car in every way, and the performance was nothing short of shocking. I miss it in many ways, but opted for an Audi RS 4 as a more practical daily driver.

So, why did I sell it? It is just complete overkill as a street car. Although I used it as a semi-daily-driver, there is no way to enjoy such a car on the street and be a responsible citizen, although it is perfectly fine as a DD. I did enjoy it on the track, but just don't have time to get there enough. The ZR 1 is just completely insane.

I still have my Elise, because I can enjoy the "twisties" on back roads, and don't need the HP.

Manufacturers of sports cars will work to make them lighter to achieve lower MPG.
Yes I agree, but what about the new Super Pig GT-R, that is just silly weight.

New compared to old... One too many stops at the doughnut shop for the puffy GT-R

Ugh. That is just huge. I'm doing stripes on a new mustang tomorrow. In the garage the guy has it parked next to his 64.5 mustang. It is just gargantuan next to it. The rear bumper looks as tall as the old ones trunk. the tail lights are 4 times the size. Ironically though the rear window is much smaller on the new one. (both 'verts)

god this chart is depressing...

ZR1 Figures Comparison

so a typical Elise would cost well over $270 per HP. And it takes us an eternity to get to 145mph. (Not that I believe any of those top speeds anyway)

Ugh.
