In the media, the new Honda Crosstour is being compared to the Pontiac Aztek... and damn man, I agree! Honda is definitely into making an UGLY CAR these days.

I don't know if comparing it to the Aztek is appropriate... Wait, WAIT, yes it is... in fact, it looks like Honduh is meeting with GM for their designs lately. WTF???

i think it looks better without the woody panels.

I don't know what's going on lately in the Japanese car market... Subaru aside, all of them are putting out some ugly cars.

The Prius with 17" wheels is the most sporty looking Toyota out right now...

Hondas entire lineup, including the Acura division, look really bad... ZDX, RDX, MDX, TSX, TL (especially bad), and the RL...

Nissan has the funky front light distortion test going on...

It really makes you realize that cool concept cars, like the new CR-Z will be epic failures if handled by the same design crew.

I guess it's possible for any design crew to have a failure here and there, but why/how an entire lineup?

Toyotas entire lineup, with the IS Lexus and Prius with 17" wheels aside, is antiseptic at best.

Honda, damn man... When the Fit is the coolest looking car in your entire lineup, there are issues.

Is it that these companies have become complacent with their design innovation or is it just a lull?

My guess is that in the bad economy, sporty cars don't sell as well as utilitarian cars. And let's face it, Toyota has done quite well selling boring cars.

Why does it have to be ugly to be utilitarian?

Design impacts our daily lives everywhere. The roads we drive on, the homes we live in, the cars we drive, the utensils we eat with, etc... why does it have to be unpleasant?

who comes up with this sh*t? Just look at the front end design. Really look at it and let in marinate in your mind. Then you will appreciate the horror. If the cars look like that, I wonder what the people who designed it look like. Scary thought...
