Finally drove it!

Interesting spotting in Santa Monica
So tonight I was driving down Pico with one of my buddies and all of a sudden I spy an open wheel car-looked like a seven from far away. When I was driving past it (it was going the other way) I spotted TWO V8 engines, uncovered, powering the car. The car had a tubular structure, which was clearly visible holding the engines, but for some reason had a roof, almost like the passenger compartment of a normal two seater.
Has anybody seen this!??
