Jaguar XKR Anybody?

There are STILL some 2008s out there at around $25K OFF MSRP. Just wondering if anybody has any late model Jag experience and their impressions of the R motors?

I understand the 2010s will have a 5.0 motor and more HP, with slightly improved performance.

Absolutely beautiful cars...

Still not a bad buy.

...we're still shopping for a 2003-2005 coupé, difficult to find other than black or silver...we nearly bought a gorgeous dark green example this winter before another buyer unexpectedly swooped in, but expect within the next year or so to find the right car for the right price...

...the newer models are nice, especially in subtle colors, and better performers albeit not quite as fluid as the older body style - they're out of our price range for now, though...

I was in the market for one a while back....beautiful car!
Somewhat Aston-Martinesque....but the interior is a bit shoddy.

0-60 aside, that's a big power difference!

But the lowly 420hp engine is probably sweet enough

i have a 2008 black xkr, i love it performance wise and i get alot of compliments on the looks as well. also i don't see to many on the road which is a good thing. it has that aston martin look to it in the front.
i wanted the white one but i got a great deal on the black one. i had the bmw 6 series my lease was up and i decided to get the stunning xkr, it was one of the best decisions i made lol. you should get one or test drive one

The XKR engine is the same engine from the Supercharged Range Rover. (It's massaged a bit to get the extra 20HP)

Those engines are pretty bulletproof and are some of the best Jag built engines ever.

Before the Elise made it to the states I was lusting after the the F-type. There are rumors that might make it into production. The concept was a thing of beauty.

From my research, since Ford took over, they are a different breed. Highly reliable...

...my research corroborates that everything after 2001 is reassuringly solid...

they do look great! and clarkson loves 'em... I guess we will have to see how tata treats 'em... I do think that ford took over before the 97's and 98's though... (bad timing tensioners)

Clarkson is hilarious...

Video goes from "it's kinda crappy" to "it's phenomenal" in 5 minutes... his typical approach.

LOL
