I just saw Larry drive by in this:
How To Build An All-Billet Aluminum Cobra - Cobra - Jalopnik It sounds as good as it looks. Fat fingered it on the iphone photos. He was *leaving* work at 9:30 am. Good to be a billionaire, I guess.

I work for Larry. He's pretty cool (only met him once). And he actually works very hard too. His 'vacations' involve hanging out with a bunch of really smart folks who are solving big problems.

Actual cobra? Or cobra replica?
Even the best replicas, aluminum bodies and all, are not actually 'Cobras.' Of course, Mr. Shelby himself muddled things producing 'continutation' Cobras with miraculously found numbered '60's chassis. Hard to tell anymore what's a real Cobra and what is a replicar. At a car show a couple of years ago, I saw a guy with a fiberglass replica of a Cobra Daytona Coupe tell all onlookers that his car was an original Cobra Daytona Coupe. Right. 6 total manufactured. All raced. None fiberglass. Each worth milliions and not likely to show up at the local Sat. Night car cruise. Nice looking replica. But it was JUST a replica, not the real deal. As with most 'Cobras' today. |
