I was fortunate enough to spend 45 minutes in the left passenger's seat area (there wasn't an actual seat there at the time) of one of the Gulf F1 GTR's in full LeMans trim at Road America once. It was simply amazing.

The F1 is still my favorite and it turns out it would have been a great investment if you had the money when they were new. The last I read they are trading in the $4 million range right now.
 I also read about one that caught on fire and burned to the ground. The insurance company determined that due to the present value, the car was worth rebuilding rather than paying out cash on the claim so the burned up remains were shipped back to England to the factory for a complete new tub and rebuild. |
