MR2 part help

Already tried the mr2oc forum but no go...

Since a lot of people from here has owned the car i might as well give it a try.

I need a distributor for my 91 turbo, toyota wants $650 for it .

Just wondering if anyone know a place where i could get one? or have one lying around that they dont need? Hit me up.

If all this fails i guess i'll get it from toyota...and this had to happen when i'm leaving the country for a month on wednesday

I wish I saw this post earlier!!!

I have a brand new distributor i never used for my 91 mr2 turbo. I bought it off of another mr2oc a while back. It has just one blemish. I slight chip off of the lip that the cap covers. I also have a used one off of my old car which leaks a tiny amount of oil. It seemed fine since I was able to dyno 300 rwhp on crappy CA 91 octane gas with it.

$650!?!?! That's crazy! I recall them being in the $400's which is still crazy!

^ thx man, hold on to it lol...i might need one again in the future hahaha

I would've definitely waited a bit longer if i wasnt in a rush. I'm going to europe for a month on wednesday so i needed the car running by then. Now i know to shoot you a pm if i need a distributor, lol.

As for the one with the small oil leak, maybe its the O-ring at the bottom? which is like $10 bucks for a quarter size ring.

dude you didn't wait more than 3 hours before you ordered the part from Toyota?

My buddy probably has 3 of these in his garage right now...
