Sad and goofy...
The lines don't match up either. Look at some of the lines in the rear bumper - they just end at the wheel opening. Nothing on the side seems to continue those design elements. I also have never seen a Porsche with a side vent like that before - just doesn't seem to fit the brands style. I'm afraid those who buy this are going to seem like someone who is just buying the car for the name/status. But then again, I thought the same thing when I saw the SUV Porsche put out. On one hand, it is awful how watered down the heritage and brand of Porsche has gotten - on the other hand, it seems there are people out there buying this or else it wouldn't be viable in the market. Porsche is a very profitable company - so I guess that makes this right and a purist, like me, wrong. ![]() |

If it allows them to produce better sports cars, then so be it. I just wish they could have designed a large coupe a la Maserati Granturismo instead of an over-weight wagon-like creature. I hope they inject it with true Porsche blood.

I wish they would stop trying to make everything look like a 911. They did with the Cayenne, and now this. I understand making the car recognizable as a Porsche, but have some imagination.

I had a Cayenne S for 4 years. It may not have been the best looking vehicle but it was very reliable and handled very well for an SUV. This abomination is just plain hideous however.
