That makes no sense.
We asked the same question, the quiet answer was that the kit may have been prematurely released for one or more reasons (not divulged to us). Still rooting for em to come through, just don't wanna be the first owner.

We had planned on turning at least 2 of these cars into our track toys. We are keeping an eye on Mr. Hall's company and hope for great things but refuse to move on something that has not been proven. If you look closely at the motor bay you will notice the engine is not linked to the drive wheels, which made us question the abilities of the package as it stands (our information is from 3 months ago). It is unlikely that you have built a proper sports/supercar that has never moved itself under it's own power to be analyzed. It would be nice if RCR has created the next "Noble" but we don't wanna be the test subjects stuck with the cars that show the troubles to the factory so they can upgrade. That being said, RCR does seem to have the in house know how to accomplish an excelent perfoming product from their experiences at building some of the best (according to owners) GT40s and P-917s in the market.

You will find them here:

My RCR40 is almost ready for paint. Though it is true that no SLC's are running yet, there are other completed cars from their shop. All of these have been built to a very high standard. I have personally talked to two of these owners, both of which had motors hand built by race shops (like Yates) and put out well over 600 hp. These finished cars are 2400 wet (GT40's which weigh more than the SLC). Both owners have been above 170 in their cars. The handling is not only reported to be stellar, but easily tunable.

I have also toured the facility to see my own chassis under construction. While there I saw the SLC in person, not in pictures. Had I seen the SLC in person before I ordered my GT40 (Oops, that's RCR40) I probably would have gotten the SLC. In the flesh, it is absolutely stunning. You just cannot get the proportions and curves in any photo. Would it appeal to everyone? No, and I say that no design that pushes outward will appeal to everyone (if it does, you didn't push far enough).

Many folks look down at "kits" but to me that just means you don't really know the subject. The RCR40 chassis is a full aluminum monocoque, the suspension is billet alluminum, the geometry is revised from the original and adjustable, the brakes use 6-pot race calipers and Nascar rotors (about 1.5 inches wide) with bias adjust, and the options are virtually endless.

The latest pics of the RCR Superlite. Impossible to deny that the car is "bite the back of your hand" beautiful. Fran and his staff have done a fantastic deed for sports/supercar lovers (and somehow managed to make it affordable). Crossing the fingers for the performance numbers. This car is going to be such a triumph, you can just tell when you look at it.
