I don't think it's ugly. It's just a bit bland and boring.

I've seen this question posed on other forums and invariably the elise gets mentioned. Some people feel its hideous.

Well...at least our car can float like a butterfly and sting like a bee...see below, it really *can* float...(no photoshop)...and those inside seem to find it beautiful...as do many on the outside.
