I got to hear a LFA once, and beauty is in the ear of the beholder.
My lovely mom would say the car need to have its exhaust fixed. I though it sounded AMAZING! Whatever Lexis paid Yamaha to tune the sounds of the exhaust was money well spent!

I would have both, each has a purpose. I would love to have an Ferrari F12 for a grand touring vehicle, and then a Lamborghini for a vehicle that is so extreme that it's not even street legal, but great for plowing fields.

I remember one time driving on the freeway in my 650i with the windows down and hearing this totally different sound which was not a V8 or V12 coming up behind me. I look and see the pastel blue Gallardo Spyder coming up fast on the side. That guy past me and it was the most intoxicating sound because it was different and it was strong but not coarse.
I sped up and kept up with him for a while, listening to that exhaust note. Love it.

The Lamborghini Gallardo is the best car I have driven and I did drive a Ferrari 360, but everybody who has more experience with cars than me and a lot more money than me says the 458 is amazing and nothing else comes close. I guy I talked to recently sold off his Lambos and now has 3 Ferrari 458's. a hardtop, a soft top and a challenge car.
I would still rather own the lambo simply because a used Gallardo can be had for 100k

Is the Gallardo a manual or egear? Performante or regular?
Personally I'd pick the Gallardo, even though I don't like convertibles as well. Ferraris just don't do much for me, however so I'm a bit biased.

Between those two I'd go with the 458. If there was an Aventador in the mix I'd go with Aventador then the 458.

If you drive a 458, you will decide 458... Its not even close. And yes, Ferrari is overrated but they made a deal with the devil to design that car. Its been years since my hands were shaking after getting out of a car till the 458. Its insane.

Maybe we can change this to 'vintage' - as in, would you rather drive a Miura SV or a Dino GTS? Or maybe a 275 Lusso.
Hard to compare because you can't say a Miura ($1M) or a 250GTO ($10M) or a Testarossa Pontoon Fender ($15M). That being said, I'd give my right testicule to drive a Miura SV. Saw about a dozen in the flesh at Concorso Italiano. Pure sex. A 250GTO is Candice Swanepoel unnaitanable so it's not even worth discussing.

There are lots of convertibles which were designed from the ground up to be convertibles so they are pretty stiff as is and some have uprated specs so they are no slouches either.
