6" GT3 2bular: Can you live with it???

Hello.

I have now a 8" GT3 exhaust from 2bular + decat.
The exhaust is very nice but too quiet for me.

I have some doubts of choosing between a 6 or 7".
I 'm looking for something which is acceptable at cruise speed -80 mph (so, without earplugs) but which rocks when you play with the throttle.

Any recommendations????

Thx

i had a 4" through the diffuser w/ tips - and honestly, it was fine noodling around town and only got obnoxious when you got on it.

thats what i like about 2Bular - good throaty deep sound with out sounding harsh all the time.

I'm with you there, just got my 8" to replace my 4". I miss the 4" very much (for sale, but tempted to keep it now)...

If it's an above exit exhaust I'd go 6" for noise. Actually with my 4" I never heard the exhaust above the supercharger, but then again I'm spinning it pretty high.

2bular GT3 Exhaust

Funny that this came up........I have an 8" GT3 exhaust (with 2bular sport cat & headers) and I just sent Jim an email this morning asking about availability of the 6". The 8" sounds fine above 4000 rpm's but it is just too quite below that (although it does sound nice if you like less bark). I track the car most of the time and really want an exhaust with more "presence". Hoping the 6 inch does it. Will have my 8" for sale in another month with less than 2000 (track) miles on it.

The 8 inch sounds like the perfect description of what I want in an exhaust. You guys can PM me whenever you want to sell.

I will probably be doing the same once my 4" ultra sells. I refuse to have every model of the 2bular in my garage at the same time.

if you have sport cat get the 6" gt3.

if you have a decat, the 6" can get loud. It's loud enough were I could possibly use earplugs, but I rarely use them. When I had the 3" ultra, I used earplugs everytime.

I say decat get 7" gt3.

I can take a video on Sunday when I drive and post it to my Youtube site. I have decat & 6" gt3.

That's more like it......my 8 inch GT3 with 2bular header & sport cat is way too quite for my track car. Nothing like the sound of Jim Valentine's exhaust systems! Thanks for posting.....now I just have to wait for delivery of the 6 inch GT3.

I'm having difficulty identifying a US online reseller of 2bular. Can anyone lead me to one? I just purchased a 2007 Exige S last week and believe I want a 6 x 18 GT3 diffuser exit cat-back. Thanks.

2bular Exhaust

Purchase direct from 2bular on-line. I just got my new GT3 6 X 18 exhaust.
See my youtube video on the sound the GT3 8 X 24 makes.

Here are the wieghts of the GT3 exhausts:

GT3 8 X 24 inch exhaust = 16lbs
GT3 6 X 18 inch exhaust = 11 lbs

Any chance you will be producing a video of your GT3 6 x 18 soon? Is it installed yet? Above diffuser or through diffuser?

Thanks,

Are you happy with the GT3 6 x 18? How would you say the sound compares to the 8 x 24 you replaced?

I'm sure it will if you get a big enough hole saw.
