K&N Installed

Today I installed my K&N Intake, then took my Elise out for a spin. Result - it screams under acceleration and the supercharger whine is very noticeable. If this is the sound you're looking for - buy one and you will not be disappointed.

If the throttle body inlet is the same diameter as an Elise it should.

How are you liking it 3 months on? Do you think you picked up any bhp?

How would something like this work?

eBay Motors: Lotus Elise Exige 04-06 Air Intake Systems + K&N Filter (item 250376239807 end time Apr-19-09 18:09:50 PDT)

That looks pretty nice, but my understanding is the "canned" supercharger tunes are not suitable for aftermarket intakes and/or headers-

I reluctantly deleted and sold my Fujita because my BWR SC was tuned for the stock intake (glad I still had the OEM intake)-

For those looking at an aftermarket CAI and no supercharger, I have a couple of years experience with the Fujita- It's a large conical filter, very similar to the K&N, and all of the fitment homework has been done- There is ongoing controversy over hp gains, but it was a significant transformation for my car (even if it was all "bark"), and perception is reality- Right?

I like it, but I'm doubtful that I picked up any significant HP with the mod.

Charlie claims the K&N intake works well on cars with his tune; however, not aware of any reliable hp gains. The car already has some bite, but the intake definitely adds some bark - very intimidating.
