Let me know what the db levels are if you can measure. I "might" offer my 4.5" for trade for a 6 if it's below 100. I just love my sound though...

will do. I love the sound of my exhaust also, but I can't live with it any longer. I'm hoping it will sound very similar just more quiet.

ahh im in a dilemma. not sure weather to go 8 inch with decat of 6 inch with decat.

id like it pretty noisy, but with the option being quiet for the u.k tracks.

i think 8 inch with decat maybe to quiet

is it much loader than a sports cat?

I don't think a 6" is ever going to be quiet with a decat. Try a 7x18. I know Jim makes 8x24, 7x24 and 6x18. I wonder how it would be with 7x18. That's what I would try out.

With sport cat, 6x18 would be good choice.

He can also make an 8X22 which is what I'm about to put up for sale when my 6" comes in this week. Not sure what length he went with on my 6" though, he said he would make it for my power and heat, so might not be one of his normal ones.

Hopefully find out tomorrow!

I just installed Jim's 6 X 18 GT3 with sport cat and headers, sounds great! After 5 sets of exhausts on my car I finally found the one that is the sound I'm looking for. (yeah, I know.....the cars a little dirty....too much time at the track).

How is the rear clam after a ride? Full of exhaust dust or not?

Here are two shots of the exhaust tip (2bular GT3 6 X 18) showing the rear clam clearance. This is the "stock" exhaust from Jim. No problems with any exhaust dust on the rear of the clam......and I drive this car very hard (I know, the car is still dirty from the last track day in the rain).

mine is exactly 2" too short. my exhaust has the 45* angled tip. It was angled upwards too high and it burned the clam. I had the hangers repositioned and now it's perfect, sits 5mm above the diffuser but still need to extend it.

Both of my 2bulars leave some soot on the rear clam, but I clean that area with quick detailer after every drive. Clay bar and paint cleaners get a lot of the crap off the car, too.
