Angry

Wow...I guess nobody wants to help out. Awesome. I even called Sector 111 stating that I'd get a call back. No dice.

Its not exactly round. but I believe it is around 3 inches in diameter. I can double check when I get home later.

and Bender. its loud like a mother. I'm deaf in my left ear.

Sorry for not answering you I am out of town and totally forgot. And yes it is very loud, especially with a header and high flow cat. You'll find that you want to go in tunnels more then usual

Why? Reason I ask...if you're planning on having it exit through the rear panel, the hole will have to be larger, (at least slightly ovular) as you have to account for the angle it takes from the muffler body... it is not 90 degrees...

Just trying to get a feel for diameter sizing using the photos of the various posts in this forum; I'm trying to decide on an exhaust. Since exhaust performance gains for this car are nominal, decisions are made chiefly on weight savings, sound and aesthetics. So, I need to get definitive measurements on exhaust tip diameters in order to cross reference; .5" makes a huge difference in appearance and can affect sound as well, as far as tips are concerned.
Yes, I'm well aware that Arqray and some 2bular tips come out at an angle; to effectively measure the diameter in this case (with slash-cut tips on the Arqray) is to measure the opening 90 degrees (perpendicular) to the ground as it is mounted. (shortest point across the tube; but even this way won't be entirely accurate. of course measurement will be inaccurate if you pic the longest points across the angled opening.) The best possible way is to use machinist's calipers, but I don't think too many people have one kickin' around in their toolbox.
I estimate the Arqray single's tip is approx 3" or 3.5"; I'd like to be sure.

well that took awhile.

I have decided to make my own silencer therefore I started measuring the tip size of the arqray single tip titanium.

my tool: digital vernier caliper

preliminary result:
measured at different angle of the tip (inside diameter)
ranges: 2.920" - 3.080"

post a picture of the interior of the Arquay, this is much more important than the tip.
