Need to? No. It is advisable to minimize the amt of heat that escapes the exhaust.
I wrapped mine, but the better solution is to coat it. To minimize heat transfer to the engine compartment/etc I also kept on the stock shielding.

Give Polydyn a call and ask to speak to Carl Benton. You can ship your pipes to them and have them coat them with the coating of your choice. They will help you to decide which would work best for your particular applicatiuon.
The stuff works! I have it on my Esprit, Elise, 2-11 and both the 61 racers. The difference is noticeable. Costs are reasonable and the shop backs its work. Please tell them I refered you, I need the discounts :-) Polydyn Performance Coatings 281-894-6382 Performance coatings by Polydyn |
