That's good to hear "less drone".

Lotus Stage 2

My Lotus Stage two exhaust blew out after 4000 miles and the dealer replaced it under warranty. The next one blew out too (my Exige S is primarily a track car) so I replaced it with a Larini SE twin tip but didn't like the sound (plus I blew my engine and it got oil soaked.....so a fire hazzard). Next I installed a 2bular GT3 8 X 24 inch exhaust (along with header and sport cat) and really liked the sound, but too quite. Am replacing with a
2bular GT3 6 X 18 exhaust. So, including the stock exhaust my Exige S came with......I have had six exhaust's on my car in 15,000 miles (of which 80% is track time). 2bular rocks!

I agree - 2bular exhibits some outstanding quality however, will 2bular replace their exhaust if it blows out after 4000 miles?

But if you are going for loud - isn't the GT3 6 inch still quieter than a stage 2 & 3?

Just got email from LTS for Sport Cat, Stage 2 & 3:

The sports catalytic convertor is as originally fitted to the 240R
model. No performance gains are claimed for this part, although reduced
back pressure and lighter weight can only increase efficiency. The
sports muffler has been developed primarily to enhance the sound
quality, and again, no performance gains are claimed, but the lighter
weight will certainly help. Both items may be fitted without changing
the ECU programming.

The catalyst is currently out of stock but is listed at 646.55 GBP
The muffler is available, and listed at 395 GBP.

In this case, I don't think I will spend over 1000 GBP to just got the different sound.

Since you are already running a "stage 2", I wouldn't spend the money just to go to a "stage 3" either.

Got my 2bular GT3 6X18 exhaust installed, sounds great! If it ever stops raining in the NE I'll make a video.
