Interesting, how's it sound? I would have loved to see the euro style 2 tip setup though!

Nice work!
I would like to know what the tape does for you ?

And what kind of edging did you use around the exhuaust pipe,
has it melted yet ?

DEI exhaust wrap and DEI silicone spray.. Yes it smoked a lot at first start..
Since I took off all the heat shields the wrap contains the heat and adds velocity in the exhaust stream.. The spray just seals the wrap and protects it from road debris..

Looks very nice

Would you mind telling us how much it cost to get done and if you've successfully avoided the MIL?

hrmm pipes/muffler/tip/wrap/spray all run less than 200.. the both 06 grills run 100 msrp from your dealer.. driven about 80 miles, no light so far.. Will tack on more miles next week with full report..

Thanks I will be doing something similiar whenever I get my Elise

Is there a difference between the 06 and the 05 grills? I plan on making a custom dual-tip setup and would have to cut both grills.

Did you retain the bifurcated aspect of the stock pre-cat pipe? Or is the piping straight bore? With just the muffler..it looks like it might be pretty loud, especially in conjunction with an intake.

straight pipe all the way Stan.. I was suprised as well on how quiet the car is.. I believe partialy it's because of the oval bigger mangaflow muffler I chose..

bane, take a look in my pictures closely.. I have both 05 and 06 grills pictured..
