Help me set up the best exhaust combo.

I just purchased and am awaiting delivery of a Larini, above the difuser muffler:

Larini Sports Exhaust System - SE Style for the Lotus Elise and Exige - Sector111

I want to set up my entire exhaust system with this install...header, decat, reverie difuser.

Looking for advise as to the best header/ de-cat set up that will match up (physically and performance-wise) with the Larini muffler. I plan to either have Charlie tune to the new set up or get a custom tuned EFI stand alone to get the most out of the system. I guess the Weapon R street header is no longer available. I'm inclined to go towards torque as opposed to HP.

WHAT SHOULD I BUY?????

What is a good header for torque. The PPE is more horsepower, isn't it?

I always throught there isn't much hp or torque to be gained through the exhaust systems of these cars, that most of the systems were really for sound and looks.

At least, that seems to have been the general consensus here over time.

I think the consensus is that if you get headers, decat and a tune there are gains to be had. but only with a custom tune for the aftermarket setup.

If you're getting a custom tune, I recommend upgrading the intake system as well.

I have the PPE system and love it...would love to try it with a de-cat....

I've ordered a cup airbox as well. Doing it all at once.

Hey Randy,

I have the Larini SE exhaust as well...will be installing BWR s/c shortly.
One thing about this exhaust - if you get the Reverie diffusor (I am going to install the 5 element), then don't get the Euro panel - won't fit. But you'll need a rear panel eliminator.

I hear the Gotham tune alone for the Exige will add around 40 hp alone?
Your car will be a beast!

Running the rear panel eliminator now. I'm buying the exhaust used from a forum member. It's coming with the europanel. Thanks for the tip re: useing the Reverie diffuser and the europanel. Are you using a header?
