Yes, it does drone a bit, but not nearly as much as the Stage II. Not enough so that you want to stab yourself in the eye or anything, but it's noticeable. Although, it does seem to be lessening as I put more miles on it.

Actually, I think the Stage II is a little louder, but not in a good way IMO. This exhaust seems to be a nice blend of tune and light weight at a decent price. And, the straight through design compliments the SC from what I've read and heard.
