Larini Club Sport 6" or 8"

My Arqray Twin unfortunately didn't last much more than a year (7000 mi) and developed a rattle inside one of the muffler cans. It was just out of warranty, but the kind folks at Sector 111 have offered to help me out (cost wise) on a Larini Club Sport 6" and/or 8".

Larini 6"

I could not find any audio files for either and was hoping someone could chime in on their experience with either the 6" or 8". Level of drone? Noise? I plan to do the bumper delete and add some custom black mesh to try and retain a less "Ghetto" look

Thanks, Rob.

I have the 8 inch and there is some drone while cruising at high way speeds. It's a low mellow sound and is actually one of the quietest exhausts I've heard or used. It's right on the border of what I can tolerate for a daily driver. If you want to avoid noise and drone I'd get the 8 inch and pass on the 6. The 6 does look cooler though

Is your Lotus normally aspirated?

How does it sound at WOT and during shifts - pops?

Why does the 6" look cooler? Thought they are the same other than diameter?

Sorry for all the question, but appreciate your response.

I have an exige s240 i believe you have an exige S as well? It is a a clean sound it doesn't really pop or gurgle. However, letting off the throttle during acceleration creates a puffing whoosh sound (pretty cool sound). I think the 6' canister looks cooler since it's a smaller canister. The 8 inch looks like a big honking exhaust next to it. They are the same other than diameter it's just the 6 is a lot louder due to its size.

Cool, thanks for the input. Still haven't decided yet -- I'm leaning towards the 8 inch. I plan to go with the full length header and de-cat (for track use) which would bring up the noise level some.

Any chance I can beg you for a audio/video clip? (Email the file to me and/or I can host it for you).

The poping is mostly tune related or lack there of -- better flowing exhausts usually lean out the car. Personally I like popping flame throwers during shifts -- I like some exhaust noise so it's easier to rev match on track during heal/toe, but don't like drone. My Arqray Twin had some drone.
