I am looking at either the lotus stage two (Which I know is really loud)
or The Larini sport exhaust system sport style (comes out stock holes) I love the SE look but have the dreaded bumpers and hate the one side exit Arqray look. My question is how loud is the Larini compared to the stage two and what type of tone is it (raspy or deep) I've found multiple videos and descriptions but none of them described if the Larini was sport style or SE style (side exit) definitively. thanks |

If you want the SE look, you can remove and replace your rear panel with a pre-bumperette panel and then do your thing... Just a thought.

Check out gtmotor on youtube. He has the Larini, though SE exit, exhaust on for a dyno run and it has a good capture of the Larini sound on cam.

It has a nice base tone on idle and more of a raspy, yet refined tone up top. Not a work of art from a visual standpoint (welds), but it does what it's supposed to do, for sure. - Allen.

haha, thanks for the vid Allen... I was going to post that but you beat me to it.
My car also has the PPE header and a high-flow cat which make it slightly louder. I'm a huge fan of this exhaust after more time has passed. It drones very little but sounds extremely nice at full throttle. I'll still say the Von Hep sounds better overall but I'm happier with the Larini since I drive on the freeway quite a bit. It does have a bit of a "ricey" rasp at low RPM if you're heavy with the throttle pedal... but that situation is easy to avoid (just rev it up more).I think it's pretty ![]() ![]()
