Looks great!! Plan on getting the same exhaust, when I get my Elise that is. I've put tack welds on many of my sagging pipe issues, has always worked great. Just a tiny tack and they can be removed in seconds with a die grinder if it needs to come apart in the future.

I torqued my clamps down after the exhaust was fully heated up and it seems to stay where you want it that way. I've had my exhaust off a lot more than most other people on the board (for header testing) so I can safely say this method seems to work

Looks grrrrrreat! I would love to have that as well! I have a few questions for you...

1. Where do you get the twin exhaust tip and the euro style grill? Sector 111? Do you like them besides from the sagging down problem?

2. Do you have a sound clip?

3. Do you have photos of the air intakes? How much difference does it make?

Thanks!

1. Yes Sector111. Yup I love them, I'll be taking care of the sagging problem over the next week or two.

2.No, but I wish I did, the thing sounds awesome.

3. It's just a Fujita, it makes a really big difference sound wise, I'm actually going to be selling the Fujita over the next week or two. Just changing it up to a different setup.

lovely! I'm thinking of getting one as well! The main reason being the Von Hep I have at the moment drone around motorway speed, and my ear hurts. Sector says this one does not drone, any truth in that?

Definitely some truth to that. It's light years better on the highway then the Von Hep.

Why on Sector's site does it say this exhaust is not acceptable for supercharged cars?

I had this before I got the Larini 8", so I know about drooping tips.
Your tips need to be centered in relation to the Euro- Grilles.

Working on that over the weekend, going to stop this whole shifting tips nonsense.

Larini SE vs 8"

1. If you are selling your Fujita plz let me know...pm me!

2. If you fixed your tips please post some pics as well!

3. Is it required to get sport cat for the euro grill setup with the twin SE tips?

4. How does the Larini 8" compare to these twin tips?

Be really careful about those drooping tips. I have the through-the-diffuser version of this exhaust, and it fell off at Lime Rock this weekend. I had to spend an hour on my back removing the diffuser to try to get the thing back on. I'd recommend welding it, as some others have suggested. As for me, while I love the way the Larini sounds, I'm sufficiently fed up that I'm getting a 2bular.

I finally got around to fixing my sag issue and installing a few other parts this weekend, a massive clamp looks to be helping the original tiny clamp which came with the exhaust. Also put some jbweld type material on it that might help hold. That is also under the clamp so hopefully it will all slightly rust together.

I don't blame you, the stupid stuff gets incredibly annoying after awhile.

I'll have to post some pics up of the fixed tips along with my new harness/harness bar install and painted A/C surround.

Mine stay in place just fine. The trick is to throw away the clamp that comes with the Larini. It's junk. Use the clamp on the stock muffler, it's much more robust. All you have to do is take a Dremel and grind the weld off to get the clamp off.

As for the tip location, they aren't straight from Larini. The left tip always seems to be lower than the right. Position the left tip centered in the grill. Then, measure how far the right one needs to come down. Remove the right grille. Get 2 big, long pry bars (I used a 6foot landscape bar) and use one to hold the left tip still, and the other to bend the right one down. It's usually easier to bend the right one since it's not near the other pipe which lets it have more give.

So to my earlier question, why does Sector state not for supercharged applications? I see many people with a supercharger using it?

You know I noticed they weren't both in the same locale, I like your thinking on the pry bar...although I'm not sure I've got the guts to do it lol.

It's fairly mild steel, you're only bending it very slightly. I wrapped a rag around the bar to keep the pressure more evenly distributed so I didn't end up putting a dent in the tip itself.
Also, that takes up the slack so you can apply the pressure more directly to the pipe & not just at the end of the tip.
The most important thing is the clamp. Ditch the Larini clamp and use the stock one. That solves the rotating problem.
