Was bored today, and decided to do some exhaust videos with the gopro. Hopefully it'll help people decide if they like the sound or not...I love it

(I know there is a ton of these, but I was bored)

Thanks for the video, I'm in the market for a new exhaust and this definitely helps.

But, given how GoPro is notorious for having less than optimal sound quality, it may not be the best representation of what the actual sound is like......?

I hear using external mic resolves that issue for the most part.

Here is a video of my NA 2005 with a Larini SC!
I love the sound that comes from Larini exhaust systems, especially the burbles, pops and crackles with deceleration.
It took me 2 laps on a cold day to get the engine up to temp, so if you want to hear it in its warmed up glory, skip forward to the 2:50 mark.

Yes, without an external mic the GoPro sound is less than optimal, but you get a good idea for what it sounds like

I want a decat, friend with an exige has one here and it sounds great with his exhaust. Plus it pops more.

Speaking of which, did the exhaust pop alot more with the decat? I'm debating doing one. Did you have the o2 sensor bung to keep it from setting CEL's?

The only CEL eliminator that worked for me was form that 'big daddys garage' website. I tried lots of different cel eliminators (weapon r, 2 spark plug defowlers, etc) with no success.

Yes it popped more with a decat, and it shot small flames out each tip. I wanted a bigger flame, so I just straight piped the exhaust (no muffler) and did a single tip, so it was 1 big flame, instead of 2 little ones. The only downside, it stinks and your clothes will stink after a day of driving. It's louder, but you will have a larini SE... I did straight pipes on everything, so I wore soundproof headsets. Was fun scaring people with gunshot pops and ripping through city streets, sounded like an F1 car.

Okay, so your Chrome Orange Exige in the video above is EXACTLY what I'd like my Elise to sound like. Is that goal attainable if I run a Straight Pipe+Decat and K&N Exhaust like your signature says?

Yep! That's all I did. Larini Decat. Took a stage II exhaust, cut the muffler off and welded a straight pipe in its place. The K&N Drop in filter wont make much of a sound difference. You'll need a difflow diffuser too

The one at 5:08 is AWESOME too! Love the way that sounds. Did you lose any appreciable low-end torque or acceleration due to reduced backpressure?

Felt a little slower on the low end, high end was about the same.
