PPE header/decat + Larini sports sport style = how loud

I am pondering getting this setup and am wondering if anyone has any idea how loud it would be, will my ears bleed? will I go deaf? etc etc

I have the larini decat and larini sport exhaust... it's slightly louder than the Stage 2 exhaust. With headers it should get pretty loud but sound amazing.

Hello, Ishan.

I am running nearly that exact combination just now and I really like it. I have the Larini SE, however. My experience is that it is very civilized under light throttle at road speed. There is a very nice Ferrari-esque resonance at around 3800RPM that isn't present much below or above that point. On off-throttle or decels, there is a bit of a "blat" (sorry, can't really describe it). On cam, it will make whom ever you are over-taking need new undershorts. At idle, it's a pussy cat.

Overall its a very nicely "tuned" sound - given the configuration it's going to be Loud, but unbearable? - no. All this IMHO.

Not my car, but my old Larini SE before buying my latest one.

Good luck with your decision.

- Allen.

I have had this exact set-up a few times, and it is very loud, but it sounds incredible.

Your ears won't bleed, but you may be self-conscious driving everywhere.

well the car is all shouty before you even turn it on... at least its not a super loud civic

as long as it has the scoot to match then its all fine by me

I have the same wish!
currently i have sport 6" running

Looking into de-cat and header from PPE coated

but i recalled reading somewhere DONT TOUCH THE HEADER EASILY.
like most after market headers are designed poorly that will loose power.

i think charliex said that. ...

so in the end i am only interested in PPE coated de-cat

BACK to the thread, bet a header and de-cat with a larini 6" it will definitely break my ear drums IMO at least break my girl frd's(passenger), besides the larini 6" itself got quite a bit drone in 3k-4k rpm range
