Smile Received Forced Fed race header

Just wanted to say that the workmanship is excellent. Dead perfect welds, tubes were filled with Argon before welding. Lots of effort went into the design. Nice flange. No problem recommending their headers. I plan to shorten the leg on the U bend and also the pipe going into the muffler and get a bullet shaped converter in there. Just waiting for the break in miles.

Hey Mike,

I had mine installed a week ago and what a kick especially in first gear. Expect to get your engine light on in about 20 miles (this is normal).

Thanks Robert.
I've got a friend with a lift that's ready when I get enough miles for the ecm download with the spyware. I can't keep away from 8000+ rpm. Anything special needed in the way of fasteners? I'm hoping someone will come up with an o2 similator to keep the mil light off. I don't want to run a cat at the track, I burned up the ones on the Vette with constant wide open throttle.
How does the car sound with the header?

Any chance you could measure the lengths and diameters of the primaries/secondaries/collector?

*note* I'm not a shop looking to compete w/ forcefed

.50 thick flange. It's a 4 into 2, 2 into 1 design. 1.75" tubes about 7.50" long stepped up to a 1.875" about 12" long. The 1.875 tubes merge into 2 into 1 welded slip on merge collectors about 3" long total. Out of that is a 2" run about 5" long where it joins a 2", 2 into 1 merge collector. 3 point spring mounts for a 2.5" u bend to the mufler (no cat). O2 bungs at the end collector and in the u bend. Don't know any wall thickness but figure it's not thin. I came up with 13.5 lbs. Good finish work inside with the grinder. Search the exhaust section for "race header" for pics.

This is not a group buy. I ordered mine 2 weeks ago and got it a week ago. Looks nice, but I'm waiting to take the car in for the first service before I put it in.

Hey guys the Forcefed headers are great ,no pipe dream, they do work.
The sound is perfect with stage II, nice flame on high rpm decell I'm told. I've had mine on sence Dec.. They do make power you can feel.....as far as check engine lights go I had some but went with the double anti spark foulers and have not seen one in 1500 mi. ..oh yea I don't work for Forcefed I paid $1,200 + install.....

Smile

For those interested in O2 similators, probably no one has more experience with these than the Corvette owners. The after cat O2 sensors have been on since obd II and they're constantly removing the cats and using sims. Not sure about how many wire the after cat sensors are though. Hopefully it's a direct install.

Hey MikeW,

To answer your question how does the FF race header sound? Well first of all I have a QS exhaust and it had a nice F1 sound to it. With FF race header it drowns the F1 sound just a bit. The FF race header sdoes increase the sound, but it does not sound like that everyday turbo sound your hear from the teenage kid down the block. Enjoy
