I think I took a screen capture of the pdf file on screen at real size. Then I printed the jpg at 100%.

Also, I used scroll saww to cut the diffuser. Made it real easy and quick.

diffuser's being a little b*tch. i either need a scroll saw or i'm taking it somewhere. i hacked it out with snips but fine tuning the cutout is more time than i'm willing to spend lol.

End the end I had to do some creative trickery w a plotter at work and a copier to make the template life size for the cutout.

I also had to get a hacksaw as it was zapping the power from my cordless Dremel. Once that was done I used the Dremel to soften/round the edges.

Z-dculus, go buy a $20 scroll saw at walmart or something. Trust me, it cut thru the metal like butter. I was even able to make the curves pretty easy, so i didn't even have to sand or dremel out any rough edges.

Also, did you get a print out or are you just winging it?

Also, just thought about it. To print, if you zoom into the image at 110% on your screen, then do print, select current view for print range and none under scale, it should print at 110%.

finally got it to print at scale. was around 111% of the fax page (funny coincidence). Its pretty well roughed out (butchered) right now, but i have about .5" in most places to the "new" edge to cut out yet. I'll swing by walmart tomorrow and check out a low budget scroll saw. DREMEL for this job is highly overrated though in my opinion. I was burning through bits every 5-10 mins. good for clearing a sharp edge, but definitely not smoothing out the cut. It'd take forever. I also slipped one or two times and scratched it "outside the lines", which gives me a healthy excuse to powder coat or spring for a CF diffuser

Update::::

just got my diffuser back friday from Kings coatings in allentown. Fantastic job, super great price. They even clean up all the hacking i had accomplished on it, after making fun of me for a few minutes of course: "What'd you let a pack of beavers get at this thing?" ....thats how bad it was lol. its a little dirty in the pics because i took it out last night to hear the new roar of the Stage II.....i think i'm in loooooove sounds fantastic.

FWIW,don't forget to put the diffuser trim back on.

It's split silicone tubing that goes over the exposed edges of the diffuser. Just gives the diffuser a more finished look, IMHO.

Enjoy the exhaust!!

Wayne

Z-dculus, u gotta go find some black hardware to mount it. Make sure you find stainless steel parts or they will rust. Must hardware is Black Oxide, but steel, so you gotta watch out.

Looking to do the Stage II as well, but have a CF diffuser. Does anyone know if I will need to trim that out as well, and if so, how to do it? I am afraid the CF will splinter at the ends.

Print the template out and compare it to the hole on your diffuser.

Hi - i am getting ready to install my Pro 1 exhaust and i see that something called "PB Blaster" was used to spray on the exhaust connection. What is this stuff? is it something like Liquid Wrench that will loosen rusted joints? thanks all
