Question Stainless exhaust with rear panel eliminator?

I'm planning on eventually adding a new exhaust, and like the look of the single tip such as the Larini 6" or the arqray, but I'm concerned that the discoloration of a steel exhaust will look unsightly with the rear panel eliminator.

Is anyone here running one of these exhausts without the rear panel? Does it still look good once the exhaust is no longer "shiny"? Or is my only option to get the titanium if I want the rear panel kit?

Thanks for your thoughts.

stainless steel and titan. will "rust" eventually and you can always polish it back again. I have Larini 6" for 7000km still perfectly shinny no discolor...
(maybe I am driving too soft)

but they stay up well since its.....LARINI

this is my photo with 6" and sector111 rear eliminator day 1

excuse my lack of knowledge, I could be wrong.

Titanium will not rust or change color
I equipped 2 different Titanium exhausts on 2 different cars for over 2 years.
none change color or rust

Those are not "Rust" on satinless steel, discolor was cause by exhaust heat.

I am not cedrtain of the alloys used in Titanium exhausts (like some sort of Titanium alloy, not 100%), but with regards to stainless, it would depend mostly on what grade of stainless is used. Most OE's use 401 stainless, although it will not rust through for many years, it does oxidize quickly. If appearance is on your priority list, you should avoid 401. T-304 stainless, is a stainless alloy with most specifically a very high nickel content and resists corrosion VERY well. A 304 exhaust will last for years and years while retaining it's original luster with just an occasional polishing or cleaning. 304 will turn a bit yellow after heating above 1,500 f. So the area immeditely closest to your engine will probably be affected, but the muffler and tail pipe will not. Hope that helps,
Ryan
