If I get the cup airbox, it will lean it out even further, that's why I'm talking about 550s. Are you guys absolutely sure stepping up to 550s will require uprated fuel pump?

Ara,

I really don't know -- I've heard it both ways... 1) that they are the same and 2) that the 255 injectors are larger than the ones that were in the Cup240. FWIW, I do know that the Lotus replacement part # for injectors in the 255 is different than the 240.

As for just going to larger injectors to increase fuel delivery, at a certain point the fuel pump capacity will be your limiting factor. And, with the Gotham re-flash opening the TB to virtually its full capacity, I think you're already there, especially under circumstances calling for almost continuous WOT operation (read...track duty).

I know that Frank went to a larger fuel pump -- isn't he running 550's??

Anyone using this air box on their supercharged Exige? Care to comment?

So this is the filter you metioned? From the picture it look like an Air filter for Celica. A TRD filter will be in red.

If you look at the Lotus Sport brochure, the "TRD Performance Air filter" listed in there is red.

My understanding is that we need a Warlboro 255 pump to feed the 550cc injectors.

Also, you can get the cup airbox from Alan @ BH for around $215.

If you get it from my 'friend' who gave me a 'special buddy deal', he'll give it to you for $350. But you don't pay tax

Wouldn't the ECU detect more airflow and adjust to keep the fuel/ air mix the same as stock, thereby negating any gains from the high flow airbox?

Has anyone measured for performance gains on Exige S (stock software) with this filter/airbox combo?

That filter looks like what our cars should come with - easy to clean/reusable and higher air flow.

This thread metions a gap that needs to be sealed between the 'clean' side of the stock airbox and the adapter plate to the larger box. Anyone here install this and get a gasket with it?

Lotus doesn't include the trumpet.

I do think it's a good idea to use RTV to make a gasket between the stock upper box and the adapter plate.

I got my airbox last week and I just ordered the green filter. It's 2 pieces like everyone says. It's even pictured in the Lotus Sport parts catalog. Not sure when I'm going to install mine though...maybe next oil change.

I got mine yesterday, finally looked at it today. For those of you that have installed (I don't have my car yet - so I can't compare to the original) - these are the parts that I got, one of them is broken - do I use all of these brackets or do I need to ask for it to be replaced?

See IMG_2511.JPG near the lower right for a closeup of the broken part, it is the smallest piece with a silver pin it in. Also covered by the adapter ring is another pin that is on the box that seems to have one of its mounts broken off.
