Congrats on the breakthrough! Twingle looks great. I think photos from a higher (more normally seen) angle would help. Bad timing for me though. I just installed my Larini sport cat and muffler with diffuser dual tips. I just couldn't wait any longer!

I'll be at HTM on 2/18. I'd love to see the twingle setup if you decide to come out.

Can I get any credit for the twingle design? See post #6.

The Von Hep exhaust is the best sounding exhaust I have heard on this car. Too bad I already have an aftermarket exhaust, otherwide I would be all over this.

How's the saying go... Great minds think alike? This is the look I was after all along and I finally found someone to make them for me. I did see your post and encouraged me to keep looking though.

Anyone else have any sound/video clips?? Or any impressions about this exhaust?? I'm stuck between this and picking up a (cheap used, and local) stage 2

Are there any sound differences between these new ones and the older vonhep exhaust? Can you keep the heat shielding in?

Also, any chance you'd do custom order tips? I love the look of the stage 2 flush tips... but just not sure about the twingle to be honest.

Def, not sure if anyone else has any sound clips. Maybe someone else will chime in. The only difference here is the tailpipe so the sound is virtually identical to before. The only difference is that the twingle is pointing more or less down at the road which creates a very very slightly different tone as the sound waves bounce off the ground. As far as other tips, about the only other options would be a big oval, which I posted a pic of earlier or maybe an oversized single, maybe 3.5", both flush like you're after. The tips are interchangeable and need to be about 5" long with about a 35 deg slash cut so there are probably other ones out there. The reletively short length makes a real dual just about imposssible. The diffuser exit single is really growing on me, I think it's my favorite one. It's toatally unique and looks very purposeful, especially with the stock rear panel installed. Drop me an email if you're serious about a custom tip. One-offs aren't easy, but I'll do what I can to help.

Would that be my car you heard it on?

I love how deep/mechanical it sounds. Doesn't sound as tinny or as ricey (*ducks*) as other single-tipped small can exhausts.

How much to just get just the twingle pipe?

I like the twinkie tip. What size is the inlet and cost on the tip?

if i was forced to pick from the 2... it would have to be the twingle... but i can't see myself with either of them

the original one i've seen in person, with the single tip out the side... and that one is good

there's just 'something' about the single curved tip that doesn't look right

S bend pipe and tip $100.00 for those that already have the above diffuser system.

Yes, that would be the car that sounds great.

Are you sure the twingle tip is 2.25" inlet? I guess since you sell them, you should know.

Freeway Drone?

I just e-mailed Von Hep this exact question, but I'm curious to know, what kind of drone does the exhaust have on the highways, i.e. is the drone at freeway speeds loud (like the Quicksilver and Stage 2), quiet (like the Larini and Arqray), or somewhere in between?

I loved the YouTube video.

The single tip evokes the look of the early Elan.

"Drone", "resonance", "boominess"... they are all very subjective. You will see a range of opinions on every exhaust (as you've probably already noticed). I have always recomended that customers read other customers comments rather than believing me beacause I am obviously not an impartial judge. It's also pretty rare to find someone who has actually been inside a car with a big variety of different exhausts. You've probably already searched around and found all pretty posative reviews, but I think the "worst" comment I've heard is that there is a little resonance at around 2500-3000 rpms, but it was said in sort of a good way in that it was not annoying. Let me know if you have any other questions.
