I'll be at Santana Row tonight for dinner if UseYourBrain is around.

So I can assume you like your Turbo setup?
I am THOROUGHLY enjoying it

HOD track day at Infineon this Sunday, hopefully my thermal improvements (rear panel eliminator + additional heat shielding) keep the rear clam from melting this time

Looks like we all missed each others' posts! I was at Straits and Sino until closing last night.

I'm available Sunday morning if that works.

Claus, you melted your clam?? wow. I heard dirt is an insulator. Perhaps your car was so dirty it was holding in the heat?!? sorry, I couldn't resist!

Can you make Tuesday night? Then I can kill 2 birds with one stone. Will you be around Santana Row again?

Rahul saw it. It got a bit, shall we say "squishy" after back-to-back sessions at Thunderhill (I was running in two groups that day). I had forgotten to take out the carpet in the trunk, though - that probably was part of the reason.

I am 100% sure that my protective layer of dirt had nothing to do with it

Unfortunately Tuesday night will not work for me.
Today didn't work either.

Sunday?

If not, I'm sure we'll eventually figure something out.

Claus, did you have to replace the clam or did it harden after cooling off?!?

I haven't responded only because I've been unavailable, but yes, I do still want to hear it.
I work in SF during the week so it's tough for me to get down your way. I may have time Thursday.

It's all good as new - it just had to cool off.

Car is back at FF, though - I want to try the new EFI software.

Thanks to usurbrain for meeting me on very short notice.
I was able to hear his Twin at idle and then revved. I couldn't go for a ride since I had my little one with me, but I think I heard enough to conclude that the Twin is too loud for me.
It's a slightly higher pitch than my Ultra but the overall volume is probably about the same. So if the Ultra is a bit too loud for me (which is why I'm casually looking for something else) then the Twin is too.

I'll keep my eyes and ears open to other exhausts...

No Problem! You son is CUTE! I think that we should look for someone that has a 2bular 8" that goes out the diffuser.
