DAMN!.. It looks like this will NOT work for the Exige S, as it does not have the center bracket mount (rear).

Do you have any plans to make a "functional" 07 Cup roof for the S??

Anyone out there planning on making one?

Whoever makes the first Cup roof for the S will likely have quite a few customers, as that roof would not only be cosmetic, but would be functional.

It should work on the "S", it just wont have the added support provided by the bracket.

It's functional for the N/A Exige as well. I see nothing about the roof to indicate it won't keep the sun and water of your your noggin'.

As to the scoop? Well... just because the air isn't flowing over an intercooler doesn't mean it's not functional.

The price certainly doesn't sound out of line considering the OEM price - granted, the Exiges all came with hardtops, just nothing like this.

Correct...I believe that was just added to reduce any rattles.

I agree that it will probably "fit", but for that chunk of change, I either want the stock 07 Cup roof or an 07 replica, not an 06. Sorry.

I can wait.

I cant recall for sure, but I dont believe the 06 Cup cars had this roof. This is a copy of the 07 cup car roof.

I like the looks of the underside with the kevlar - which I thought I saw.
Is that option available? And as I only have a soft top... Does/will it come complete?

Is anyone else having problems with FVMC's website? When I go to Boutique/Parts and Accessories and try to click on the links showing or try to search the parts/accessories, all I get is a message stating "There are no products to list in this category".

Is it me or is there something wrong with the site? It has been like this for me for a while.

If it isn't me - what is the point of putting this out there?

Why just someone tells everybody the sale's price?! Shouldn't be a secret..

If it's too pricey, seller won't sale too many.. so, soon they have to bring the price down and get adjusted with market demand.

what do you mean, Dan? what bracket???? Shouldn't this work if it will fasten to the body and if the intake opening flows the way it should internally??

I do not know what he is talking about either. As far as i know the mounting method for the roof did not change between 06 and 07 cars....as far as the design goes, its definately a 255 cup 07 roof....so i do not see the problem. Wheres the bit that does not function...?

As for the price, remember its weight high up you are saving and in the case of supercharged cars you will get more of the eigines performance, more of the time......i think 4,000 is ok.

5,000 is maybe pushing the boat out a bit far, but at the moment it is not clear whats included in the price.

The 06 Elise Sport was the first to come out with the rear bracket on the hardtop.

Now 07 Elises (with hardtops) and Exiges have the same center bracket in the rear of the hardtop. I think it is supposed to help with the roof bowing - there are many that have bowed up over time and there is no adjustment you can do to fix it. It is almost like the roof warps from heat or something and just wont ever fit right (as far as body lines are concerned).

This roof is for an '07, the pictures are showing the roof on an '06 Exige b/c that was the car that was at the shop that day. The roof appears to work for any S2 Exige.
