With the seals the wind noise will be gone. I'll get around to it...

Exhaust notes, rattles clunks rocks hitting the fender liner. Those sounds are one thing to me.

A small whistling wind noise like i said would rive me crazy.

I would trade you spots any day though

If you want, you can buy the seals for me and I'll let you know how quiet it is!

how about you send me the hardtop and I'll install the seals. I'll also test the integrity of the seals on my Exige S. I'll get back to you once I finish my analysis.

Disclaimer: analysis make take 6 to 8 weeks.

CF Cup Roof and Splitter / Spoiler on Solar Yellow Exige S

Kept my Prototype Composites front CF spoiler/splitter and CF roof.

I'll get a better picture when it isn't SNOWING outside!

Was planning on painting the roof, but I'm digging how it looks. The weave is too pretty to cover!

(Ignore the missing seat...)

Call Mike, he can make anything from plain fiberglass to CF to Kevlar... no vapor-ware, made in the USA. What more can you ask for?

Thomas,

Is there any additional headroom in the CF version vs stock? For me, even 1/8" would be significant.

Thanks,
dan

I don't know how I missed this question... I don't think there is any additional headroom.

whoa thread digger^

I think on my roof there is at least an 1/8"more room maybe more. I guess that would all depend on if you reinstall the headliner or not.

I just put mine on tonight with seals transfered over from the old roof.

Heres to hoping for no wind noise. And that thing doesnt fly off on my first road trip.

Someone should send that "roof flying off" story to MythBusters. Physically impossible, unless someone left the fasteners off. BUSTED!

Well, since somebody else dug up this thread, I'll add my two cents. In January I bought from FVMC their last (only?) roof that is the subject of this thread.

No surprise that with a $4500 or so original asking price, the top was collecting dust in their warehouse.

Patience rewarded, I bought the top, WITH brand new seals and mounting hardware all around, for FAR less than what Sector 111 lists their top for. I decided to paint it body color, and with an excellent paint job I've still got several hundred dollars less in it than what the Sector top lists for, without seals and hardware (must be brought over from an existing top).

FWIW, my stock Canyon Red Exige S hardtop, with all hardware and seals intact, is for sale...
