Cup car question, please help!
I purchase a cup car a year ago and have taken it to PIR (pheonix) and Millers a few times and Im having a problem with what I can only assume to be fuel pick up.
In hard (high G force) left hand corners it starves for a second. I ordered the car with the fuel cell also. Its a little better with more fuel but on a full tank, I can still get the car to starve. any suggestions. I sent an email to lotus but I didnt recieve a response.

By looking and seeing if it is there?
![]() I replaced the inertia switch, fuel pump relay and used a special contact cleaner on the ECU contacts and the problem hasn't returned. 1.5+G lateral loads.

That's hardly fair considering the number of people who experience with non-Cup Lotuses.

For those interested******> Possible fix covered in this thread http://www.elisetalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=46231 It seems to have worked so far on few Cup255's with fuel cells -- fuel cells with their trap doors, etc shouldn't be experiencing fuel starvation. I can't guarantee it's the fix for others. My Elise believes it's been electrical all along -- see his post above in this thread. |
