The 06 tail lights, grilles, pedals, and seats are supposed to lighter than the 05 versions. Did the 06 add weight elsewhere? Maybe the DBW adds a few pounds. My 05 was 1905 lbs with a full tank and hard top. If you compare weights on quality corner weighting scales there should not be more than a few pounds difference.

We will be weighing a couple of "S" cars at Carl's garage tomorrow -- I'll report back on the weights and any weight saving mods.

Longacre scales are accurate to .1%. It better not rain, still on the slicks.

Weighed my car today at 1980 lbs. Was 2060 on same scale when it was completely stock and 2 bars short of a full tank.

Today I was 2 bars short of empty, 5 lb battery and 8 lb exhaust. About 50lbs saved with those 2 parts and I only roll with half a tank of gas. The car jumps a bit more now. I can definitely feel the 80 lb difference. That with the green filter and exhaust, it's a great combo...now I just need to finish up my Gotham install and all hell will break loose.

I'm sure I can get it to 1890-1900lbs once I'm done with everything. Goal of 285hp...gives me power to weight ratio of 6.66

Woo-hoo!! That's freakin' awesome!! Kinda comfirms what I thought.. the the pre-bumpered 07 is much less that what peeps have been claiming - closer to 2100 lbs. My shipping weight was 2011 (but unknown gas level - suspected at least 2 gals), and so I should also see the same -50 lb weight loss with the 5 lb battery I just received. A few other lightening goodies and I'll be below the weight of my old Elise!

Speaking of weight, anybody know of a cheeep source of corner weight scales? I was thinking of lowboys or some other low tech method; doesn't have to be covenient.
