Exige S gas mileage
What kind of mileage are the rest of you guys getting on a full tank? I'm getting about 210-220 miles of combined driving on a full tank, so was wondering if the rest of you are getting the same as well.

I got much better gas mileage in the winter when I wasnt running the AC. I averaged 26 with more city driving than hwy. Now that I run the AC all the time I get closer to 21-22.

i get about 20 average. Best was 23-24 on one of the canyon runs. I had let the car glide downhill in neutral as I couldn't take the loud exhaust anymore.

I almost always get 25 mpg and always drive combined city and highway. My S has about 2200 miles on it.

I have a 90 mile round-trip to work and back and I average 27 MPG. I have just over 4000 miles on the car now.

I average 27 mpg even with the ForcedFed ECU/pully,550 injectors, and tune. Considering the HP to weight ratio, this must be the most fuel efficient sports car I've driven that can drop 12.0 flat 1/4 mile.
Maybe the Arial Atom can one up it? I'm using Redline 10w-40 but that hasn't changed the mpg -- but I only have 1115 miles on it. Having a hard time finding time to drive it. Rob. |

I drive an Elise, but I only get 22 mpg. What am I doing wrong? And I thought that I was driving like a grandpa (with an occasional lead foot).

I'm using Shell, 91 octane. I got 24 mpg after filling up today, after purposely shifting at lower RPMs and driving like a grandpa. But still... I'll do freeway runs this weekend and see what I get.

My light comes on right around 1 full bar (guessing that is about 3 gals) because on NO visible bars I have just over 1 gallon left.
Just filled up and looks like I'm at 22.6 mpg (221/9.7) -- strange, last tank was 27.4 mpg -- could be I reset my fuel to zero late or just a lot more city/spirited driving. Not that it matters, I could be getting 10 mpg and still be a happy camper -- but it's not my daily driver, got my Prius at 52 mpg doing that chore. But freeway mileage is not so good in the Prius my recent I-5 SF to LA route takes about 4.5 hours at 90-100 mph but mileage is crap at 41 mpg. Rob. |

Yeah, mine does that too. I tried running all the way down to the bone - no bars and when I reached the pump I filled 39.50 litres (about 4 gallons). According to the specs the fuel tank holds 42-43 litres so I was close to a bingo fuel situation.
