Hello all,
I'm currently lusting after an Exige, big fan of all chassis 116 cars! been looking and looking but haven't quite found a good picture of a Graphite Grey Exige (not Storm Titanium) with silver wheels. Plenty of black rims but no silver (stock) wheels! Anyone can provide me with one so that I can drool and ponder? ![]() |

I realize this does not satisfy your request 100%
but just trying to help. Here is GG with silver Elise....... http://www.lotusofgreenwich.com/cars...8&subcat=elise GG is by far one of the best colors IMO...... Good luck.

I realized US gets the forged black wheels as standard, IMHO the standard rims look nicer, and I have seen a chrome orange Exige with those in silver. I think silver rims work better on a dark colour like GG, black one's create a "black-hole" effect. Black's are much more popular so you may consider this a challenge

This is what I'm looking for:
http://www.elisetalk.com/forums/show...t=29287&page=2 Exige silver rims (although this is titanium and the car seems lowered, cup version?). Only one I found so far in this specific combination! But I'll stop nagging now ![]() |

To be honest there is probably not a car in existance that matches your description and the odds of it ending up on this forum are even less. If you think about it there are only about 600 in the country (300 N/A plus whatever S they've built which judging by dealer lots and people buying new cars has to be over 300) and out of those about 1/4 actually post on this forum... if it's even that many... so that's around 150 owners (again, I think this is a high number). Now factor in that there are 15-20 colors available and all of which came into the US with black rims and were only swapped for silver if the owner requested that. Statistically you're chasing a white elephant.

Think simple... buy the silver wheels separately and then sell the black LSS. Combination of those two (car + wheels) is going to be difficult, but I'm not discouraging you.

Lotus Atlanta had an Exige S in white (Alpine I think?) with the silver stock wheels. I thought it looked fantastic! After that I never saw another one with the normal wheels. All are painted black... I don't *think* they swapped them as I remember that the Black Pack was an option. Alternatively, you might look to swapping a set of black wheels with someone that has silver.
The GG with silver would look great!

the wheels look weird. Looks like team dyanmics 17 and 18...maybe even 18x9" at the back.

I have a set of the silver Euro Exige wheels...the 'Y' 18 spoke wheels that I'd trade for a set of black LSS wheels (or for a set of the same Euro Exige wheels in black, for that matter).
These wheels are heavier than the LSS wheels, by a fair amount, but lighter by a moderate amount than the standard Elise wheels. So if you're looking for all out performance and tenths of seconds, then stick with the LSS of course. If you want a good, attractive wheel with a nominal performance penalty (really no penalty if all you're doing is street driving), consider the silver Euro Exige wheels. Funny thing is, even with their weight, they were the performance wheels chosen by Lotus for the Elise GT1 race car (green in these pix): 1997 LOTUS ELISE GT-1 -SOLD |
