Mine is in the net behind the drivers seat along with 4 zip-ties. If a cop asks, I can mount the front plate in 2 min.

when mine gets here its gonna live under the drivers seat

"sorry orificer somebody stole the front plate, and im on the way home now to report it"

In Western australia, its a $50 fine at the discretion of the officer and no demerit points.Saved me many a license

For those who have chosen to ignore the state's laws on front plates, how often do you get pulled over for it?

I think it works in my favor that we have a large military population here in the Norfolk, VA area. Many cars registered in other states. I see lots of cars every day with no front plate, I believe, because of that. I'd have to get pulled over for something else for the officer to notice I was VA registered without a front plate.

No issues here. I've been stopped by police and they didn't say a thing about not having it on. I do carry it in the trunk, under the carpet to keep it from flying around. I don't want any knives flying around if I were to have to take evasive action.

Uglyduck - this is without a doubt the most eloquent front license plate bracket I have come across yet!

Did you fabricate this? If so, well done! Can I please purchase one from you?

don't normally drive with a plate on either - however - I have this mounting for it.

There are two clamps that tuck under the bumper (hard to see) and the plate just slides into it when I need it.

I don't have a photo, and my car is in storage. I used the stock Exige bracket. I got a bolt with the same thread pitch as the front tow hook, and a thermoplastic sleeve. With a few washers, I was able to come up with a way to mount it in the grill space with just a small hole drilled in the plate. I can remove (in about 5 seconds) the plate and replace it with the tow hook for the track. If anyone wants photos, I will go down to storage and snap some.

mine is mounted to the center of the windshield.slid down between the dash and windshield.stuck two suction cups to the upper plate holes.tapped the edges with black gaffers tape.doesnt block my view.its not all that noticeable.i had thought about wrapping the plate around the plinth like some have done.here in washigton state i think i would be busted for destroying state property if i did.so the windshield works for me.
