Insane....
i know i've said it before...
but 45k for heavily used 07 exige's?!!! still upset i gave mine away for 40k, but these prices gotta calm down soon right? i mean it's a 6 year old car and priced higher now than when bought new... in 08/09 looking for exige's there were brand new ones at dealers for mid 40's!... crazy how the economy goes up and down. that being said, a week after getting my ariel atom. i still miss my exige... should have never sold. |

I'm definitely tempted to sell mine just because it seems like prices are looking good right now and I don't drive it nearly as much as I should. I guess my big hesitation is that I have spent a ton of time and $ getting it to where it needs to be and it seems silly to part with it after all the work I put into it.

I don't think anyone is buying 07s at 45k.. listed for that? Sure.
My 06 is probably worth 33k. Not bad since I bought it at 43k 6 years ago. Not good that I put 10k into the car.

I have had someone offer me mid-high 40's for my exige when it was bone stock.

surely its all to do with supply, meaning that if the US market aint getting the new Exige then residual values will strengthen? Its the same in the UK, I've got a 2010, 5,000 mile Exige S 240, a one owner car and its worth more now than when i bought the car 18 months ago, and, if the new Exige ever actually gets to the production stage its £20k more for the same spec than the one i bought, i reckon hi prices will feature for some time, particularly concerning the younger and low mileaged examples!!!

Hey Riley. Saw your Atom. Pretty awesome!
You should come to Sebring Dec. 8th. Anyway, I'm sure all of us with Exige's are considering selling them because of the bump in price. I think all of us come to the next phase of thought, not having anything to replace it with. I really don't know what I would replace it with, that offers the overall satisfaction. The Atom was the only one that I considered. |

IMHO, the prices are based on supply and demand. The pool of cars in the US is now fixed so the prices are going to hold. When I was purchasing my car 2+ years ago it was tough because the cars were selling fast but now it's just tough to find that many for sale. I kick myself for not buying an S260 because with all the extra goodies and very limited supply they are going to really hold their value.
As for anyone contemplating selling the car, I agree that there is nothing that would replace the driving experience of an Exige. I have an E46 M3 in my garage and yes, it's a great car, but the fun factor is just not there like the Exige....and it's even better on the track! It just can't be beat. So... do your search, find the best car for the money, and enjoy it everyday! It's that simple.
