You got that right! I was out at "Streets" at Willow all day Saturday. The car feels amazing. Just like new. The guys at BH Lotus dialed the car in for me knowing that I was headed for the track after I got the car back.

There are still a couple of minor things that still need to be done to the car. The new Starshield hasn't been installed yet so I taped up every square inch of the front end. The badges are still missing - but other than that, it's as good as new.

(I apologize for the massive pics. I'm not at my home computer.)

FLASH--car looks great, and youlook happy! Glad you had a great time. What is with the American Muscle in the pic? Cool car, but out of place, no?

Second question, I know you had your car repaired at SCC. Can these guys do nothing right the first time, or did you pick it up prior to them finishing everything (badges/starshield)?

I have seen Johns car in person, and their level was work was questionable, plus missing parts, and delay after delay.

But I am happy for you, if things worked out.

Now stay out of the way of BLonde Bimbos!! See you next week

I picked up the car before it was ready. I had the track day already scheduled and I didn't want to miss it. The car is going back to SCC to be finished. They did a quality job as far as I can tell.

The pics are from Danny McKeever's high performance driving skills event at Willow. You have the option to use their cars or bring your own. There was another Lotus and one guy had the Chevelle. I think he took the Chevelle around the track once and realized that it was a disaster waiting to happen.

What's the cost for Fast Lane driving school? Does it include insurance in case something happen to their car?

Better if during daylight hours - would like a quick late afternoon photoshoot.

I think it's around $700. It's very worth it. That track is perfect for the car. Lots of tight corners to learn on. There was actually a "Lotus guy/instructor" who rode with me on a few laps to assess my skills. It was a great day and I really got a great feel for the capabilities of the car and the differences between the Elise (which doesn't have the A048s, sport suspension, supercharger, wing etc...) and the Exige S.

Could that guy have been Rod Bean?

Yes, I think it was Rod. Most of the group was doing "big Willow" today. I wanted to do it badly but couldn't swing it with my schedule. Next time!

I also want to try the "horseshoe".

Forget about HS -- try Buttonwillow. The tack (SCCA owned) has a very reasonable (cost-wise) 1-day school that you would enjoy. I believe it's offered four times a year -- check the Buttonwillow Raceway Park site for more info.
