....but it will be the same car....

twin oil coolers,variable t/c,ap brakes ect ect..

i can only tell you what i will be paying for mine...£35,000 for the 's' £3000 for the performance pack[240 hp ect ect...]extra£500/£1000 for the paint ie phantom black....although these are uk prices...i'll pay a lot less....

Off set is changed. Lotus did the same on my special edition

I'm sure most buying this car don't care about that feature, but I did install it on my Elise recently. Mine is also a daily driver, so I use it.

Maybe since they are going to start producing a lot more cup style roofs. Us non-08 guys can buy just the roof for cheaper than we can now.

Don't know about that. Wasn't there a guy on here recently w/ an 06 Exige whose roof blew off at speed? Because he had taken it off and improperly reinstalled, Lotus of course denied warranty.

He was quoted I believe about $3900 for the 06 roof, add at least a couple hundred more for the 'S' roof w/the scoop extension (which Lotus 'sells' separately for around $400).

So you're at least over $4K for a replacement S roof. The new 08 cup roofs would probably be quite a bit more, with quite a wait for one as well. Weren't the CF Cup roofs being quoted at around $4500?

Steve -- In the States, a loaded '07 S (all options and life style paint) has a sticker of $68,645....so I'd expect a loaded '08 S to sticker for...... ~$72K, more or less. Of course, it looks like some dealers are discounting 2007's by $4-5K.

Ara--I believe the Big brake kit runs ~$2800 and a new Cup255 roof painted runs ~$3,200 (perhaps a bit more) if purchased after the fact from the dealer for those that want to upgrade their '07's. Of course, you could sell your old items and reduce the total outlay of cash when the time is right.

am i just way too overtired, or is that paint color sample in the front two-toned. It looked blue and green to me, and like it if thats what i'm seeing.

Jack, I remember reading that Lotus updated the big brake kit due to the problem with wheel clearance. I'm assuming they just changed the brackets.

Lotus sells a scoop extension to look like the Cup roof? I was unaware of that.

And wow i didnt know the stock S roof now was soo much. I was figuring not much different than what the hard top costs for th elise. Inwhich i heard those were around $1500. How do they justify over double the price for a scoop add on. ?

And yes composite i believe was selling the cf cup roofs for around $4500.

Here's a better shot of ice white and the others:

Who knows if the US will see these changes to the colors, but my initial findings:
Chili red gone, replaced with candy red
Mag blue replaced with persian blue
2 whites, ice white is new
2 oranges, burnt orange is new
Saffron yellow is back
Polar blue replaced with "liquid blue"
I dont know what color it is, but top right looks sweet, i am guessing it is replacing NFB?
Is krypton green renamed/changed?

I dont see A. purple, autumn gold, one of the greens, ???
