I'm definetely going with bigger brakes, i like the mohawk look, but then i was a punk and had a real mohawk when i was a kid, almost fibreglass too.

As for the variable traction control this is something i've been playing with ever since i heard about the 2-11, i've been trying to interrogate the owners on effects and stuff, but they've been paid off by lotus to keep quiet My exige had a modified TC setting.

What is the tire problem? Is Yokohama not going to continue making the LTS tires?

A cup roof would be nice (all though the look hasn't grown on me) as would adjustable tractional control with launch control.

After pricing things out, it seems that the cost for all the parts and labor will be more than taking the dealer depreciation hit. I can spend less money to get out of my existing S and purchase a 2k8 as compared to upgrading to approximately what the new S/240 will equate to. Not to mention I will still have a warranty with the vehicle.

With that said, I plan to take the "S/240" route unless a street legal GT3 is to arrive in 2k8. If so, I'll hold out. If we only knew the plans for the GT3 ...
remember though, when you pay more for the FF boost kit, your car will be 285hp versus the 240hp from the '08 Exige S. I would still get the kit if I bought an 08.

I'd rather buy the parts separately. As I don't like the bumpers, which by the way makes the rear grills half the size of the non bumpered cars. Might be tough to cut a hole for exhaust tips to pass through. Also, I suspect, euro grills will not fit those cars. You'd have to buy the 05-07 license plate section. I would have to replace the whole rear grill section to 06/07 spec. Don't like panel elimination so that's out.

The cup roof, I love. But in carbon I love even more. So even if I did buy an 08, I'd still buy the carbon roof. Only advantage is that I would sell my stock cup roof which I think is more desirable than the Exige S' top with the smaller intake.

Brake kit I'd like to buy also, since it's on the 08 already, saves me time and effort for installation. But I don't think it's a big deal.

I have not really been a big fan of the boy racer Exige look, but the Club Racer has got my attention. Any more hi-rez pics out there? Is the blue solid or metallic? Is it the new Liquid Blue or something special?

Lotus!

So, i have had this plan. Keep the Exige forever, buy a porsche 993 turbo (1997 S version in Yellow) in Nov '09. and then just contiinue on down the road for my car loving life. And then it all came to a screeching halt the other night.

Thanks for posting, that Roof is

Me too - except for the kid part

Oddly enough the dealer had explained to me that in my current exige the scoop is in the proper sport for the air current to get the maximal flow. He also said that for 2007 they widened the scoop?

This was when he warned me about NOT taking the roof off (air starvation & downforce loss on the wing)

But I would not mind the bigger brakes. Myt willwoods in another car had saved me from a wreck.

They didn't so much as widen the actual scoop opening in the roof, as they actually added a small extension to the existing opening...moving the entry point forward about two inches or so and widening that add on piece a little. That piece is either held on with two sided tape or some out of sight fasteners.

O7 S has sam clutch as the regular Elise.

The new "performance" package in the UK includes the HD clutch and plate same as on the Cup240 and 255. I believe that will be the case for the 240HP '08's too

I am wondering when my clutch will give up. The GT pack did not include an uprated clutch....

Still owe you an answer. The bellhousing on the disks are changed allowing more clearance. Offset remained the same.

Sorry for the misiformation. I've edited my original post.

we wanted more power,better brakes,cup roof,lsd,vt/c,l/c..ect ect......
My 08 on order.....

The 08 is very tempting. Get an 08 or Sector 111 Supercharge mine...hmm.

I don't like the bumpers. Why can't you just take them off and instal an Arqray single tip and be done with it?
