A lot of Exiges spend more time on the track than the street. The Accusump is a welcomed addition.

no point having a rear window you can't see out, helps with cockpit noise/temps too.

spectre, yes 265
^^^ Yep ... Anything ( almost anyway as A/C will be on all N.A cars ) that add's weight but isn't really needed gets the chop...So , yes,Ba-Bye heavy glass window.

Colin Chapman quote refering to Lotus engineering values :

It's kind of a shame though as looking at the engine and belts spinning back there when you are in reverse is pretty cool

i believe its a panel, be good for adding to the supercharger air intake and making it work better, if they didn't already, just make the while thing a scoop.

monsi, hoping to get to poipu sometime in the next few months, but it might be more wishful thinking than reality.

i'm refusing to buy a new one til they bring back manual windows.

It's actually a very light piece some time ago a member here had plans on making a carbon fiber panel to replace the window. The only problem was that there would have been almost zero weight savings so the idea was scrapped. The only good thing about deleting it would be better insulation from the heat in the engine bay compartment.

Are you talking about running the scoop from the roof inside the cabin and through the window?

That would be interesting

Here are a few shots from a dealer meeting we just had in LA with Lotus. They were shot with an I-Phone, so they arent the best quality, but here you go.

Yes. 1962lbs

But what does this mean?
"Trimmed rear bulkhead"

This car is just nuts! I love it. A 997 Turbo is about 7.3 lbs per hp (3500/480) and this lotus is 7.6 lbs per hp (1962/257). I cannot imagine how beautiful this car would be in capable hands on the track.

I can't wait for 2010 when these are abotu $40k.

They kept the door shut, so we couldnt get pics. The top of the dash is carbon, hopefully you can see that in the pics. The seats were a carbon fiber shell, but they have not been approved yet, so were not sure if they will make production or not.

I'm curious why they put on the LSD tho since lotus despises the things
Since it has LSD and track pack it is closer to a $6k MSRP difference than the '08 S240.

Would cost more to buy all the goodies yourself.

Appears to be 115lbs less as well. My car was 2030lbs with 1/2 tank of gas but I guess would spec at 2077 fully loaded.

So, even if Dollar is weaker, they must have taken a little off the profit side... however, perhaps with only 50, a higher % will sell at MSRP or more.

Anyone catch that it has HID headlights? That true? It is about time!

So, does that mean there are Exige-S (220) and Exige-S 260's and nothing else, or is there still a 220, 240, and 260?

Gentlemen...I am actually going to configure our 1st unit and send it on to Lotus tomorrow and as it's not pre sold ( yet !) I can paint it any color I want, however, It would be prudent to ask people who actually buy these cars what color it should be...so...What color should we paint our first allocated Exige 260 in ?

We are totally open on color but would like to hear your suggestions, We will be ordering it with the stripe but don't worry about that as Lotus are just putting tape stripes on these so the end user may remove them if not wanted unlike the club racer stripe which was under the clearcoat.

Let me know what color you think is coolest and we will build it !
