LSD question
Anyone out there have any opinions on the quaife differential. I had it installed in my 99 m coupe.. loved it

If you search here on "Quaife" you'll get a lot of threads. I doubt it's much better or worse than the factory helical LSD, but I could be wrong.

if your car didnt come with the factory lotus LSD and you really need to have one, then quaife isnt a bad choice...thinking about doing the same thing to mine

Quaiffe
In the UK,they have a sterling reputation---great in Elans-(old ones) I think they are akin to the torsen diff more commonly known here. No clutch pacs like the Salisbury diff,which means less(no?)maintenance.

Torsen and Quaife are both brands of helical gear, torque biasing, limited-slip units.
