Talking My new Lotus ExigeS video! Yeehaw!

Here we go, last week end I installed my new Lotus Stage 2 exhaust for my exigeS and at the same time my break in period was over cause my car had 1600KM at that time. So I decided to make my first video since I can push the car by now and also because it sound a lot better with the new exhaust.

Here is the link to the video :

Nice... I always enjoyed the outside videos more. Car looks and sounds great.

PS: don't be surprised if you get some backlash here for the street racing. It's gonna be coming LOL

hahahaha anyway the place where we do that is in the wood very deep and it is not dangerous at all. There have no traffic at all specially at this time of the years. It is a dead end road...

Awesome sound, is it the new exhaust for S models or the good old Stage2?

Sure is quieter than the N/A stage 2. I hope this puts to rest the questions about which is louder - the N/A stage 2 has a deeper bass-like tone and a scream at WOT that the new S version squelches.

So if you want quieter get the S stage 2
If you want loud and some prolonged drone get the N/A stage 2.

Also - from what I have heard, the new S version doesn't pop as much or quite like the N/A stage 2. I have the N/A stage 2 on my S and it pops letting off the throttle (even medium accelleration), upshifting under heavy accelleration and at a coast in 1st 2nd and 3rd gear. Now that may not be a good thing and could be another reason why Lotus came out with this version on the S - to tone that down and those little bursts of flame???

Maybe invest in a tripod or monopod.

Also, what is with the video playing in your head unit while you're driving?!

That's quieter than the n/a Stage II? (which I have on my Elise). I like the sound of it, did not realize that the n/a Stage II was louder (maybe I lost some hearing because of it). I guess I need to get a recording of mine done next time I'm at the track.

You also might want to blip your throttle coming before downshifting from such a high rev and save wear on your drivetrain.

What an awsome stretch of road.

You guys are a lucky bunch to have that around.

Especially with a dead end.

Car sounds awsome! And very impressive running with that 300zx from a roll.

Those things are by no means slow.:-/

hahahah yeah you're right we are lucky to have that road close from us. It is like a real track to test our car. The road is brand new and it is full of curve and straight along the river and in the mountain 25 to 30KM long .

If you would like to see a video that i've done at the same place 2 years ago with my RX-7 here is the link :

http://videos.streetfire.net/video/9...2bed5015ba.htm

With my RX-7 I did 130-135 mph in that straight and with the lotus I did 125 mph

Considering the weight of that 300ZX, it was still able to keep up with the S in acceleration......

Yep but keep in mind that this 300ZX is no longer stock. Fidenza Flywheel, New Turbos at 16-17 PSI,Rebuild engine with wiseco piston, bigger injectors, wolf ecu and more.... »His car made 320 pounds of torque on the dyno...

Now I need the Gotham ecu to get more than 203 HP to the wheels....

That explains it. I was wondering how an early 90s 300ZX twin turbo was keeping up with the Exige S.

First thing I noticed.... Where's the rev-match?

You should rev-match when downshifting... Synchros, tranny, drivetrain...etc.

Wow that exhaust sounds sweet. Is it the Official Lotus Exige 'S' stage two replacement exhaust ???? I have only ever heard one on tick over before.

Cool Video BTW.
